One day tourRafting down the river Avacha

We meet at the appointed place with the rest of the group, check the gear and take the journey. For an additional fee we can arrange transfer from the hotel, ask for details when booking the tour.

Transfer to the camp by the river and back to the place of the end of rafting by specially prepared off-road vehicles. Part of the route passes along a forest road with a few obstacles: river, marsh and steep descents.

“Aquarium” is a creek between cliffs with crystal clear water, through which the motion of salmon is visible. This place is a monument of Kamchatka nature: there are sheer basalt cliffs, nesting birds, mountain and field flowers, and fresh air. We rest near the creek, take pictures and go to the camp for lunch and instructing before the rafting starts.

We go downstream! We pass a few small obstacles: rapids follow one another and, although they are not challenging, they requires concerted actions of the crew. Along the way we admire the river scenery. The color of the water changes from turquoise to dark gray, depending on the time of a day. Shores replace each other: we pass by mountain forts decorated with flowers and elfin wood, black and red rocks, dive into a thicket overgrown with willows, poplars, cherry and rowan. The birds nest in the forest, seagulls and swifts swish over the river, and close to the shore duck broods are floating. Sometimes bears from the forest come to the river: to fish and show people to their cubs.

We make a stop at the confluence of two inflows: the Left and Middle Avacha. We provide gear to those who’d like to fish for char. Relax and drink tea with sandwiches.

After a couple of hours we make one more stop for lunch. We cook outdoors and make fish soup from fresh salmon. The car is already waiting for us at a car park to take us back.
