The Ganalsky ridge is situated 170 km of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. This ridge is a part of the self-titled mountain range stretched 90 km to the north-east of Petropavlovsk. The Vostryaki (the second name of the Ganalsky Ridge) is the oldest geological formation in Kamchatka. Its rocks look like a bastion, there are mountaineering routes up to 5B difficulty range.

Tour program

Day 1

Trekking to the Ganalsky Ridge

The group gathers at the appointed place, load backpacks and gear into a car and set off for the journey on route Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky — Milkovo. Steep peaks of the Vostryaky are already visible from the road.

At 145 km pf the paved road we take a forest road suitable only for prepared off-roaders. But we wouldn’t get much further there, just about 10 km. After that we will have to walk 5 km to the Vostryaki’s circus.

Having set up a camp and all settled we go for a walk to watch the surroundings — typical for mountain Kamchatka with towering peaks of the Nanalsky Ridge.

Day 2

Climbing Mountain Yurchik
Return to the city

After breakfast we check our equipment, get safety instructions and set off. Today we are going to climb Mountain Yurchik which has a picturesque view of the Ganalsky Ridge and the mountain range.

The Yurchick’s height os 1 062 m, it is a mountain adjoining to the ridge. The trek to the summit is not difficult and offers a beautiful view of the Ganalsky Range and its surroundings.

After descending we will have some time to rest and pack up our belongings before heading back to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Required equipment:

  • трекинговые ботинки. Если обувь новая, пожалуйста, начните разнашивать ее заранее, чтобы не натереть ноги во время экскурсии.
  • непромокаемая ветрозащищенная куртка с капюшоном
  • спортивный костюм или спортивные штаны
  • тонкие перчатки
  • тонкое термобелье
  • футболка
  • флисовая или любая утеплённая кофта
  • купальные принадлежности (плавки/купальник, сланцы, полотенце)
  • солнцезащитный крем с защитой SPF 30 и выше
  • средства личной гигиены
  • лечебные препараты, если принимаете
  • таблетки от укачивания («Драмина», «Авиамарин» и т.д.)

Документы:

  • Полис обязательного медицинского страхования
  • паспорт, свидетельство о рождении

Дополнительно для летних путешествий:

  • Кепка или панама, а также тонкая шапочка
  • средства защиты от комаров

Дополнительно для зимних путешествий:

  • Утепленная куртка с капюшоном
  • теплые ветрозащитные штаны
  • теплая шапка, носки, непромокаемые перчатки
  • термобелье для холодной погоды

The tour price includes:

  • basic camp equipment (tents, cooking facilities, dishware, etc.) for a group
  • safeguarding during the tour
  • meals on the route
  • recreational fees
  • services on the route: guides, cooks, mountain guides

Flight tickets to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and back are to be bought by tourists themselves. Transfer from airport and accommodation are not included in the price, but we can assist with accommodation options.
