We meet at the appointed place, get acquainted with the group, check the gear and take the journey to the place where we switch to snowmobiles, undergo briefing about safety and driving a snowmobile.

If tourists have enough experience and proper equipment, it’s possible to ski down from the top of the volcano.
Today true altitude of Kozelsky Volcano is 2190 m, but it wasn’t always like this. Scientists consider that Kozelsky was formed almost at one time with Koryaksky and Avachinsky. Its height reached 2700 m, but the cone was destroyed by strong eruptions, the consequences of which we can see today. Volcanic activity resulted in creation of several secondary cones.

Start of the route
Set off to the bottom of Avachinsko-Koryakskaya group of volcanoes which represents the row of five volcanoes, two of them, Avachinsky and Koryaksky, are active. In the tourist camp we drink hot tea and listen to the stories about these majestic places. After short break we departure to Kozelsky Volcano.

Lunch
We reach the bottom of the volcano and ascend by snowmobiles to optimum altitude to have a look at the panorama of the Pacific Ocean and Nalychevo Valley.
Kozelsky is an extinct volcano, one of five volcanoes of Avachinskaya group. In summer one can find on its slopes a rare mineral called carbonado, or black diamond. In winter it is a favourite destination of skiers and snowboarders. The volcano has a wide bottom — a perfect place to drive a snowmobile speeding.

Return to snowmobiles
Then we set to the place where we left our snowmobiles, switch to off-roaders and return to the city.
