If you have experience and proper equipment, you can ski down from the top of the volcano.
Gorely is an active volcano in the South of Kamchatka. Altitude is 1892 m. The volcano is famous for its numerous craters, there are about 30 of them. Some are filled with acid, some — with fresh water, but all of them are incredible beautiful. Many years ago there was an ancient volcano with 25 km diameter of the bottom. Later its central part descended and created a circle of craters which were erupting and imposing one over another. During the excursion we’ll show you a great creature on which nature spent thousands of years!

Departure
We undergo briefing about safety and driving a snowmobile and drive out to the Mutnovsko-Gorelaya group of volcanoes.
65 km of winter landscapes are waiting for us. We’ll pass by snow-covered forests, mountain rivers, stop by the brook called the Silver Spring and on the Vilyuchinsky Pass, a natural observation deck. Rest with hot tea and taking spectacular pictures. The view of snowy volcanoes Vilyuchinsky, Goreliy, and Mutnovsky will stand out in your memory forever!

Arrival to the bottom of the volcano
Excursion into the crater, lunch
We stop at the foot of Gorely Volcano, rest after a long drive and have a short excursion. After that we get to the crater as close as we can by snowmobiles, go on foot part of the route if needed.
A walk along the edge of the crater, taking pictures. Gorely Volcano in winter is a severe view. Its crater is puffing slowly, producing portions of gas, slopes are covered with fritted ice, and there is a giant snow-covered acid lake in the bottom.
We have lunch on the slope of the volcano from where Mutnovsky Volcano and its kilometer-high column of steam are visible.

Drive to the Snow Valley lodge
Bathing in the pool
We say goodbye to Gorely and and set off to the Snow Valley mountain lodge. Get warm and recover in the thermal pool.

Departure to Termalniy settlement
Return to the city
The final spurt remains — a short drive by snowmobiles from the lodge to Termalniy settlement where we get in the car and set off back to the city.
