Arrival at the horse-riding base “Taiga”
Safety briefing, start of excursion
First we undergo briefing and meet horses at a horse-base in Razdolny settlement. Then we set off to the route.
Ride across Lisaya Hill
The bottom of Utyugi Hill
We go up to Lisaya Hill. During the ride to the top we enjoy the view of Ganalskiye Peaks on one side, and Koryaksky, Avachinsky and Kozelsky on the other.
Then we go out to Saraynaya Hill, which is called Utyugi (Irons) by locals because of two shelves of rocks and flat top looking like an iron from the distance. There is tundra spreading at the bottom.
Stop in the middle of tundra
We stop in the middle of picturesque Atakovaya tundra at the bottom of Utyugi Hill. There we rest, have lunch, and explore the surroundings. This landmark is famous for lots of mushrooms and berries, in high season you can eat plenty of berries right from the bush and pick more to take away.
Return to the base
Departure to the city
Way back to the horse-base takes about 3 hours. Drive to the city by car is about one hour long.
