Karymshinskiye Hot Springs are situated 90 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in the valley of the Karymshina River. The springs are divided into two groups: upper and lower. The upper are the most interesting situated in a picturesque place in the center of the caldera of an ancient extinct volcano. Bathing in hot springs in winter is a peculiar recreation. In this time of the year you can feel two indivisible parts of a single whole.

Departure
We undergo briefing about safety and driving a snowmobile and take the road. The route is 20 km long and goes in the valley of the Paratunka River along a snowmobile trek. There is a giant Vilyuchinsky Volcano standing in the distance. We make stops to take pictures of it.
Rest drinking hot tea and back to the road again!

Bathing in Karymshinskiye Hot Springs
Lunch
Turn at Goryachaya (Hot) Hill and arrive at a narrow, sheltered from the wind valley of the Karymshina River. That’s where groups of springs are situated. Thermal water flows out of a steep leaving fancy colorful patterns on the slopes. For tourists’ convenience there was a well drilled in a place with the water of comfortable temperature.
There we relax in hot natural baths, have rest and lunch. You’ll forget about all the hustle of the city in this calm and secluded place.

Way back
There we say goodbye to the hospitable place and set off back to Termalniy settlement to switch to off-roaders and drive back to the city.
