There are mountaineering routes up to 5B difficulty grade, there is also a training camp of Emergency Control Ministry. However, this place is worth visiting even if you don’t have anything to do with mountaineering.
Rocks of the Ganalsky Ridge have sharp tops and are rather recognizable, but not many tourists happen to get there because of difficult terrain and remoteness from tourist bases. This area is inhabited by Kamchatka snow sheep and black-capped marmot.
Depending on snow and weather conditions it is possible to get to the slopes by snowmobiles for further skiing and snowboarding.
We have lunch in the open air, get warm by drinking hot tea and listen to the stories about this bewildering place. Having had enough of walking we start our return trip.
